Road manner with auto locker?

Im driving a 2wd SR5 and would like to do the next step for light off-roading.
Currently I have a 2.5” lift and Terra Grapplers G2s on 265/70/17.

I want to lock up the rear wheels now because I know it adds tons of off-road grip and I’m examining my options.

1. Auto locker like an Aussie locker.
2. LSD
3. E locker of some type
4. Arb air locker. (Pretty expensive since my truck will never be a badass off-road truck)

I’d like to specifically hear from people who have a locker and have driven extensively on slippery pavement (snow, ice, rain).

Do you find the rear end to step out more?
I know that having one of the drive wheels just free rolling halls keep the truck going straight. I’m wondering if locking the diff or an auto locker which is locked
Except when turning would negatively affect road manners in slippery conditions.

I had a locker in the rear of my 2wd supercharged tacoma. It was scary but fun as the rear end broke loose at all speeds. Theres nothing like merging onto the freeway at 65 with the rear end fishtailing for an entire mile. I did get used to it and found it really handy when off road.
