Road trip from orange county, ca to sequioa national park

Hi Everyone, just bought an 05/limited/v8 T4R and planning on taking it to Sequioa National Park.

Looking for places to stop at along the way and fun routes to go on. Will be camping out there for 3 days.

Any suggestions is very much appreciated!

When you're paying for the pass, you might want to ask if you can upgrade later to "annual pass" if you like the place($10 additional).

Safety
The place is beautiful, the sceneries are very luring. Please be very careful when near waters/rivers. The current is very fast and very dangerous this year because of the above average snow melt...for safety, we can't go beyond our expertise.

Have fun!! and hey, since you have the V8, climbing up to 7,000 ft el. is a walk in the park. enjoy.

oh that's not that far of a road trip at all for you! i live in north texas an im planning a huge road trip to yosemite (gonna be 4,000 miles round trip i already made a thread about this if you wanna know details) but anyways after stopping at death valley i was planning on going through sequioa before i hit yosemite (which i'm spending most of my time at) i've had people tell me to visit mono lake ( which is closer to yosemite) and it looks so otherworldly! when are you going? i'm leaving early august, but if you go before me please post pics and let me know about any trails you did!
