Road Trip Video Recorder - Schlemmer? or...

Anyone use one? Interested in your feedback as I will be doing 17 days and 5000 miles in December, want to record most of it!

I have a $15 window mount with suction cup for my Galaxy S3. Takes a VERY VERY stable picture even on the roughest terrain. Records in HD with astounding picture quality. Would be much cheaper option for you.

Then just bring a laptop and dump the SD card from your phone every time it fills up ... voila.

I have a Powershot 310 HS. The Canon obviously shoots in 1080i HD. Only thing would be waiting for the battery to recharge on the Canon. Actually I should check my box, see if it came with a plug in charger!

I'll have to test it out and see if the picture looks ok, not shakey, and work out the battery situation. I would worry about the screw-type mount being too far from the center of gravity in the camera and causing shakes.
