Rocker Panel Dent

So I dented my rocker panel when I first bought this 4runner, it has been driving me nuts since.

So I my next project is to fix it....

Last time me and Singtoe talked, he mentioned putting a piece of the Limited 4runner trim on; the rocker panel trim that is part of the cladding....

So is it possible just to toss this piece on the rocker panel? I believe I have sourced the part, just don't know how it will attach.

Mine has several holes that run the length of the rocker. I have 2 of those panels if what you have falls through.

You're running sliders. Just rock the dent. It's trail scars. That way it doesn't look like a mall crawler.

Your door opens just fine, right?

Yea the door does open, and I have sliders.

But I have nothing to prove to anyone, so I'd rather the vehicle looks the way I want. LOL, the dent just bugs me

You're not going to be able to do anything, unless you cut it and weld in another piece. You might be able to drill a hole in it and pull it out, but it's creased. It's never going to be smooth. It's going to look like a bunch of poop if you try to pull it out.

The rocker panels are all one piece. The only way to get a limited plastic flare on there is to get a limited rocker panel and cut that one out and weld it in place. Not to mention, the plastic piece won't sit on there the right way because of the dent.

There are a bunch if holes that are on the rocker that the panel clips to.

I remember one user, I believe it was driffter33, doing some kind of fix for this in his build thread. It involved pulling the metal but he didn't drill any holes, check it out and you'll see. Probably not the perfect fix though.

Dry ice will fix that dent!

Dous there are a series of square holes on my rockers. With that said i'm sure round holes will work with the clips I removed.
