Guys - 'm making some of the Uni-Strut Low Pro mounts for my rack. I bought a 12ft. peice of UniStrut and have 0 uses for the left over. I'd be willing to make up as many as I could out of the left over and ship em out for a few bucks plus shipping. I'd even consider grabbing the extra nuts and bolts if you'd like.

First come first served on this though. I'm not esactly sure how many more I'd be able to come up with off hand. So, lemme know if anyone is intrested!

Make it a reasonable price and include the metric screws or other hardware and I am first in line. I have been dying to do it but can't seem to commit the time away from paperwork and the MR2 to do so. Make it a decent fair price for your time and effort and ability to saw it into the right sizes.

I can spray paint em myself for a finished look. I would only expect smooth edges and compact lengths of strut.

10-4. When I get to the house tonight I'll snap some pics if what I've got so far.

I'll probably throw them up on Facebook, it's easier to upload them from the iPhone there.

It may take me a couple days to get them ready to ship. I'll be working on my set tonight, then I have to drive 3 hours to a wedding for the weekend, and will only be able to work on it a few hours a night. Hopefully by next weekend I can get them out!

Dude, I've been looking to make some of these bad boys like are linked above. But I'm low on time these days. So I'd be down for a set too.....even though I don't have the roof rack YET. Only reason I don't have the rack yet though is bc I won't fit in my garage or parking deck w/ it sitting on top of my stock rails and that's a big problem haha. How much do you think you'll be wanting for a set?

lets you avoid using the factory cross bars totally

OK forgive my ignorance here, but are these basically mounts for your roof rack that sit lower than the mounts that came with it? I want to get a roof rack soon but I know very little about it all.

Let's you mount the rack directly to the roof channels thus removing the factory cross bars totally for a lower leaner look and more aerodynamic fitment.

See my pic above-see how the factory cross bars that would be horizontal across the roof from one side to the other are not present? See also the pics on the Yota Tech link above.

Roughly $5 each cut to size, add another $5 or so for each piece with hardware and USPS shipping flat rate box around $7 or so -sort of in the ball park?

set of 4 no hardware with shipping $27? That is my preference/needs

Okay guys I'm posting from the iPhone so bear with me...

My plan of using the racks hardware to match the new low profile mounting rails isn't working how I want. So, I think I'm going to drill/grommet the rack and use the Lo-Pro rails that way instead of the racks clamp type mounts. Check my facebook page for an example of the failed mounts. I'll be getting up early to finish, tonight I'm hungry and frustrated. I'll keep everyone posted.

Is anyone absolutely against drilling into their aftermarket roof rack?

No problem there for me kregg-my Safari Costco rack already has holes directly in the bottom of the lower side rails. I was going to use those holes to meet up with the UniStrut-and have the UniStrut mate up to the roof rail channel.

I got these buttoned up on Sunday... It ended up being a lot more work than I had anticipated, but I'm pleased with the results...
