You'd have to take off thousands, which almost certainly will get caught.

That was a good one Thai........ Actually I know someone that turned his odometer back and sold his car, I think it happens more than you think. The type of car he owned was called Toyota 4Runner. :rolleye2: (It had the old type odometer.)

As I was reading your post I was thinking "This doesn't sound like Thai" It didn't seem right but I believed it. I don't think I've ever fell for an April Fools joke like this one. I tip my hat to you Thai.;):;):

hahaha it would be funny if you saw people turning circles in parking lots!!! hahaha

to be honest i didnt believe it, but i was intrigued by the post! i couldnt imagine how a full lock would affect the ODO reading at all haha i'm sure if others played along and said its possible i'd be out spinning in circles hahahaha

but yah, turning odometers back is pretty wack, but its easy enough to spot when it has been done!!!

Does this still work or has Toyota fixed this?

I am wondering does this still work or has Toyota fixed this?
I am looking for a 4Runner these days.

If this still works, what about deleting this post. :sniper:

The old adage is that locks keep honest people honest.

Find a used car lot with a 4runner. Take it for a test spin and try it out. Post results...

Ha 14 years later. Just look at the OP date, and that will give you a clue if it ever worked.

No, unfortunately, Toyota still has not fixed this. Still works.

Because this flaw still exist, I don’t want to delete.

Be careful out there.

I wonder if anyone with a 5th gen has confirmed this working?

Might need to post this procedure over there to see who wants to try it...

Great information Thanks!

Now tell us how to switch to +100HP / Track Mode?

Don't be silly. There is no such thing. Please keep this thread on topic. This thread is only about something that can be confirmed and tested.

Personally, i have found that it works on my Sienna as well. Thank goodness for Toyota and its rebellious ways!!
