Rollover accidents?

Are the 4Runners just as sturdy as its Lexus cousin the GX470? A GX470 was involved in this rollover accident and according to the officer the sturdiness of the SUV prevented any serious injuries.

I can't believe that article and from a California newspaper:awais:.


I thought that it would be a greenhouse gas producing SUV that would be towing the four horses that would help to usher the Anti-Christ back to earth! Instead a kind word about an SUV, how refreshing...


Is a T4R as good? IDK.

Don't know about the top, but the GX has more side reinforcement than the 4Runner. I think that's what accounts for much of the weight difference.

That's pretty crazy, the pix of your rolled over 4R. I'm assuming the 4th gen will offer better protection than a 3rd gen in a rollover, especially with all the air bags. So that is good to know..

We don't have as many fanatical tree huggers down here in the SoCal OC, they're all in the NorCal area (i.e. Berkley)...
