roof basket with pics please

i am going to get a basket with my christmas money and im thinking the rola 59504 so it doesnt cover my sun roof but not sure what it will look like.
any ideas on good one thats $200ish

The Rola is nice. You can get the regular basket for about $150ish. It sits lower than the Yakima, which I personally like.

If you want to get the extension down the road to make it longer you can.

I have the extension and it does not interfere with the sunroof. It does stick over the sunroof a little though.

i love to use my sunroof all the time and will not cover so i cant use it or at least cut the grates so the bars dont cover it

Yakima Loadwarrior all the way! Fits like a charm and create quality. Have heard a lot of people that have the rola rack have had problems with them rusting. Get a Loadwarrior! You won't regret it. yeah thats what i keep hearing and i will put many lights all the way around it and will run all the wires through the frame of it and before i put it on seal it up really good with silicone
i know its nicer but i have lil money and dont want the basket to look as smallish

I don't see how the Yakima is nicer. The Rola has a lower profile and can be extended. You are stuck with the size of the Yakima.

The rust issue isn't a big deal. Just put some silicon on it.

Thats exactly what I did for my Rola. Havent seen any rust since.

Gonna have to disagree on this one, with all do respect.

1) FALSE! Yakima loadwarrior can be extended - It's called the loadwarrior extension but most don't do it because you don't want that big of a rack and sounds like this guy doesn't want it covering his sun roof so no need for extensions.

2) Rust is a pretty big concern for me and I would say for many guys on here. Lets be honest, who wants a rust running down their 4runner because of a rack and why should you have to put silicon or any other treatment on a rack you just bought? I think that shows a lower quality build...

I personally like the look of rola racks just having heard many good things about them unfortunately.

Oh, my bad. I didn't know about that extension. I've never seen anybody with one.

If rust is a big issue for someone, then maybe they should spend the extra $$$ for a different rack. If they don't mind spending $5 and five minutes while putting the Rola together then I think the Rola is a good choice.

Whether you go with the Yakima or Rola you should be fine.
