Roof light wiring

Can someone direct me to a thread or show how with pictures of how to wire roof lights, I know some people run them down the windshield but I'm not quite sure how

I sacked-up and drilled a hole in my roof. Grommet + Flamemaster ProSeal. Zero leaks and zero regrets..

I installed my PIAA fog lights by routing the wires underneath the windshield side molding. No drilling through the roof. There is enough space underneath the molding for 2 sets of 2 x 18 gauge wires.
