Seems to me it would need to be about 3-4 feet taller! I saw a few HUGE grizzly's in Alaska and was told that the males can reach almost 8 feet in height.
I would not like to be invited over for dinner!

I added a Inno fairing to my Rocky Road roof rack. Got rid of wind noise (only tested to 80 mph). I noticed howling at around 70 mph prior to the fairing. Fits perfectly and I am very pleased. Also, mpg's are back to where they were without a roof rack (and rock sliders) installed. I had to use zip ties on the middle bracket because of the center crossbar on the rack. However, it seems pretty secure.
Edit: Also, it seems to track much better, like night and day. Even over having no rack. Not sure if it's just in my head or what, but it used to feel like it would wander quite a bit.

Finally got around to hobbling upstairs and getting on my imac, which has a handy-dandy feature to turn .pdf into .jpg.

Does anyone have a detail drawing of the trail edition roof rails? I have sketches and beginning dimensions for a machined adapter that can be made to hold Thule or Yakima bars. I could move a lot faster if I had the rail specs. Mainly the angle at which it cants in from top to bottom.
If I make them for myself, yes, I will make some extra sets.
Mine will be Yakima specific. I like being able to loosen the different racks and spin them 90 degrees to lower the profile.Right now I have an extended loadwarrior with a hull raiser and landshark saddle. Still need to adapt my old school sportworks T2 to work with a roof rack.

the Rocky Road rack looks slick. that shorter profile may be just the ticket to squeeze my rig into the garage after it's been lifted! (which is some time off, but still...)

4-pin trailer light hookup relocation
Quick Jerry rig. Used an exterior door strike plate to mount a 4-pin vehicle-side plug just to the left of the hitch receiver. The door strike plate has a tab on the back that sort-of fits right onto the back of the 4-pin assembly to keep it from sliding backwards when you push your trailer-side plug into it. Had to drill two small holes on the under side. Used regular drill bit and sheet metal screws. Just ran a short 4-wire line from the existing 7-pin hookup up and over the bumper frame. Didn't even hard wire that...just used the 7-pin to 4-pin adapter. This would only work for a 4-pin rig. If you wanted 7-pin, I am not sure how that would fit. The ones that they make aftermarket are too wide to fit in this spot without cutting. I don't use 7-pin so I dont really care on that...but would like to know if someone has done it. Please note that this is only a quick fix, and not really professional!

i posted this on a different post and didnt get a reply. I have a limited with silver roof rails and black crossbars.
I like the black roof rails on the Trail Edition,,,does anyone know if the TE rails are universal, can they be mounted on the limited. If so could i use my cross bars for the TE rails.

you can replace your factory rails with the TE rails/bars. the TE bars wont fit on the SR5/LE rails.

The Trail Edition Off-Road Rails are part# PT278-89101 and the list price is $800 USD. They only accept the TE crossbars, which are part# PT278-89102 and list for $140 USD.

Can you confirm that your box set up works - i.e., you can have the box on the roof and lift the rear door all the way up? (I just want to be sure "messing around" doesn't mean, "I put it up there but didn't attach it to the bars.") If anyone else has cargo boxes that "work", please give the bar and box make and model you are using. Also interested in wind noise comments. Much appreciate!
