I've take a couple measurements and was thinking of using 1 in square tube(or larger) then welding a 1/4 x 2 x 2 in steel angle as a start. then that would give me a starting point of the angle of the tubes.
oh yeah, gobi sucks
Just 2 pieces of metal welded and have another welded on for support.
Just out of curiosity, what do y'all think would be a reasonable price for a set of 4?
I think this is geared towards those of us that don't have an OE roof rack.one option would be to pop the OEM covers off and take a grinder to reshape/cut back/weld to the factory roof rack feet already on the T4R.

I too would like to see some alternative option out there. I'd like to put a K9 rack on my truck and bolt into the existing mounts.
This is the question... I would like to pay $25 each so $100 for a set of 4. But after doing some research it seems from other sellers on tacomaworld with similar brackets and mounts I would expect to pay more like $150-200 including hardware. Then powder coating would probably add another $50.
