Roof rack base mounts?

Does anyone make just the base "feet" that would bolt to the factory locations that I could then fabricate my own roof rack to?

The ones for my BajaRack are separate. So in theory you could just buy the feet and mod as desired. Not sure if they part those out though.
I have thought about that to bring the rack down about an inch.

I've take a couple measurements and was thinking of using 1 in square tube(or larger) then welding a 1/4 x 2 x 2 in steel angle as a start. then that would give me a starting point of the angle of the tubes.

oh yeah, gobi sucks

Would love to have someone share the measurements or sell a complete set of 4. I could possibly with the measurements see if a local CNC shop do the work.

Agreed.

Just 2 pieces of metal welded and have another welded on for support.

I need a set as well and have looked and looked with no luck. So fabricating some is the only real option at this point.
And if you didn't want to do legs you could just use long flat rails like on 3rd gens OEM roof rails and bolt to it making our racks remove able and leaving OEM looking rails on your rig keeping the holes sealed and plugged with no worries.

the rain drain is about 1 in deep and 1 in wide. So you would need a sleeve or tube to compensate. See how the bolt heads are visible so he used something to raise it up. shouldn't be too hard to get up and you should see how some members welded their role rack to the stock locations.

Just out of curiosity, what do y'all think would be a reasonable price for a set of 4?

This is the question... I would like to pay $25 each so $100 for a set of 4. But after doing some research it seems from other sellers on tacomaworld with similar brackets and mounts I would expect to pay more like $150-200 including hardware. Then powder coating would probably add another $50.

F that 100 bucks ok no problem anymore than that and I continue with this thread in search of DIY ideas and best option.
