Almost done.
Here are a few photos of my Cobra 19 Plus post-install:
Unfortunately, I have no 'lockers' on my 4x4.
Pulling the hood release pivots the radio and the front top of the radio touches the plastic of the dash. Not a big deal to me:
Routing the power wires under the dash:
And around to the passenger side. I purchased this 12 volt cigarette plug you can install the two wires into and then plug into a cigarette lighter 12 volt power source:
I bought an additional 2X12 volt power outlet source. My Ipod is hooked up to a radio transmitter so I can listen to my ipod through the stock radio speakers. The other power source goes to my Cobra:
The order of precedence for my mount. The screws went first, then the small washer, then the radio mount, plastic dash, thin steel behind the plastic, the wider washer, the smaller diameter washer, then a self-locking nut at 10 mm. The drilled holes were 3/16":
These are the bolts I used and the fit the 3/16" hole perfectly. They are .75 (3/4") in length:
I was able to reach through the fuse panel with my fingers (middle and ring finger from my left hand) behind the dash just far enough to reach the far right screw to install the washers and self-locking nut......barely. Then I used a 10 mill (mm) wrench to hold the nut in place as I tightened the phillips head portion of the screw. I repeated that process with the middle and left screw and washer set.
