If you are granted a patent by the patent office, you are given the right to be the exclusive provider of products based on that patent for some length of time.

If you are granted a patent by the patent office and you don't enforce it, you can lose the rights afforded by the patent.

So, Morris, what is your disclaimer? Are you in anyway financially linked to Whitson and/or his company/business? Do you get anything (financial or gifts of any kind including discounts on products) from Whitson, Whitson business, and/or his place of business?

For me, I have no association to anyone involved in this thread in any kind of way. Hell, I have not even heard of the two parties involved before this thread!

Paul signed up and stated some facts, however those statements are quite opposite of whats been stated and documented legally in his suit against Whitson. So where does that leave us? Did you make this product or did you file the patent and then sell it to Gobi?

I have been filing patents for over 30 years and as with any patented idea the concept must be created first best tested then filed this way the best idea is sent to the patent office. The answer to your questions is yes on all accounts.

You can obtain plenty of legit documents from google.


Second, my parents were financially bullied by their partners to lose their property management company and such. Their partners were all millionares while we were the little guys, what happened in court? They won because we couldn't afford to fight the cases.

So stop looking at this as face value, their are other circumstances involved. Whitson can lose for the simple fact that he cannot afford to go forward and close up shop. Gobi wins.

I agree we should see what happens in court, but its not just that simple as to the verdict of the case. The verdict may not be fair i.e. McDonald's having to pay out nine figures to that person who spilled hot coffee on themselves.

I would disagree - in looking at this (and I am a no body) but have been following this thread since it's so popular on google. Calling ID2000 bad names (an ass hole) is not civil. For the most part people see things as the glass half empty and that is the majority of people here. We have fighting between friends, we have people stating they know fact when really there are two "facts' here. The facts of Josh and the facts of Paul. Whitson hasn't logged back in to say "yes I was received the complaint letter" or denying it (and I am sure some of you have already alerted him to ID2000 post). Paul logged in and sent a message - trying to calm things down. You all bash for him it saying "he has cold feet". I get it - all of you are on the other side (I am on no side) and if someone posts their opinion for the other guy you jump on them for it. That isn't being civil - that is bashing.
The admins of this site should at some point step in and say "no name calling, no bashing" Forums are for debating and discussing - bashing does none of those things. We can all have an opinion but the true test is to be open to outside views and other opinions as well.

Ok so is this accurate? The patents were filed well after Gobi had already been selling racks, then you sold the patents to Gobi who is now suing WMW with a patent they purchased from you. You never manufactured or sold any racks using your patent.

Based on your posts it sounds that way but I don't know. I'm just trying to understand.

I would absolutely agree with you. The only reason there has been a lack of civility is because some individuals are not liking the FACTS presented and keep trying to rile everyone up. I don't need to name who, I don't need to point out where, but I am not just going to let a fellow "member" get in here and blast everyone else and think that they are right. In fact whenever challenged and logically discussed he backs out and makes a joke about everything, only to join back into the conversation repeating the same initial comment that tripped him up in the first place. The facts are on the table, how can the individual possibly keep ignoring those and just banter. I do believe the forum to be up for discussion, but also I have noticed that new users logging in claiming to be the plantiff, and other users joining the forum to and suggesting the possibility of locking the thread as interesting.
Also I kept it civil with "ID200" with my questions directly to him(post174), and yet have still received no answer to my questions? I find that kind of strange, since he responded to another persons simple legal question(post192),but not mine about true business process and the companies history and character? I quoted him just like the other individual so I'm just guessing he missed it, or is checking with his "legal team" how to respond.
