Roof rack delete strips

Anyone know where I can get a set of the plastic strips the third gens had when they came from the factory with no roof rack.

Mine came with the rack (sitting in the basement collecting dust if anyone is interested) but I put the delete strips on and now one is cracked. Dealer says they are no longer available.

Any input?

I would take them off your hands for sure. I am jsut decideing if i want to drill holes in my roof. cause I dont even have the black strips on my 4runner that I just bought.

but want the stock rack.

just affraid I will get leaks if I drill holes in the roof

how much do you want for the runners? do they have the cross bars? dont really need them, but I do want want the runners

here in Montana, to find a 4runner with out a rack is RARE, but they are around.

they are two black strips that have I think 5 screws in each them. like runners that are just caps to cover the holes used to mount the OEM rack and cross bars. if you have a roof rack you dont have these caps that he is talking about.

I of course have neither (surprisingly) so I have to drill holes in my roof to mount a rack if I go OEM route.

Ok, gotcha. I also have neither, which was why I wasn't sure what he was talking about. Now I think I know what he means.

I'll try to get some pics later this week and post them. Wish I could find a new set.

As far as selling the old rack, yes I have the cross bars. It is complete.

I would not mind shipping but I better wait until I sell it. Worst case scenario....if I cannot find any new "delete strips" I may have to put the rack back on to avoid water seeping in around the cracked delete strip.

I'll keep you posted.

If anyone has any further thoughts please let me know.

I am in the same boat, there is a red 3rd gen for sale on BAT right now with the strips, and have googled everything I can think of to get more info on them or a part number with no luck.

i searched for months to find them with no luck online. Went to Pick-N-Pull for mudflaps after getting pulled over and found a pair on an SR5 out there.
4 bucks!
