Roof Rack Measurements?

Does anyone happen to have the measurements for the 4Runner roof rack? I am getting started into the actual planning stages of my roof rack build and need the measurements to get a feel for how much material I am going to need.

I'm looking mainly for the following:

~From Left Bracket to Right Bracket (that mount to the actual vehicle)
~From Front Bracket to Rear Bracket
~Measurement of actual bracket (width, length, hole positions/sizes)

If anyone happens to have any of the following measurements I'd really appreciate it. I know I could just take the rack off myself and do the measurements, but I'd rather not break the covers (which I know I'll probably somehow end up doing lol) and remove the rack right now. Mostly because right now our Welding Shop at the college is about 60% finished and I am not sure if I will be able to finish the project with the current state of the facilities, so I'd like to leave the stock roof rack alone until I am ready to replace it.

Did you get a chance to measure your rack yet?

Post Note-

I was calculating the estimate on my roof rack project and I was down right shocked that its about $90 for 20ft Seam welded 2" steel tubing!!!

Is your rack going to have 2" tubes all around?

with 20', are you doing just a flat rack? The reason I ask is that when i designed mine, it took approx 46' of 1" OD tubing (84" x 45").

I measured the stock rack a few years back and lost the measurements so I'm not much help, but i'm always interested when people design/fabricate their own equipment.

sorry i havent had a chance to get to it yet i will get to it this weekend. its been a crazy couple weeks at work so i havent had any free time.
 
How does one go about making their own roof rack? I have the factory one on but just love the look that a bigger roof rack adds! Do you hav to be very mechanic-savvy to do this?

I'm thinking of down sizing to 1.5" OD, But 20' is what it seems to be the largest length you can get. I calculated something in the neighborhood of 50~60' of tubing...

Just shocked that the price for seam welded steel tube is so high...
 
My back stupid cover fell off going under a tree on a trail...thing is like 50 bucks! I think i just may swap to the sport tube rack instead...Interested in seeing your build/design though.
