Roof rack on 5th Gen

I can't find any information on whether the cross-rack between the roof rails are standard on any Trims of the 5th Gen.

If you check inventory, you can find different builds and some of them list "Roof Rack-CR10 $749".

I thought all of them came with a roof rack? Does this mean that you have to pay extra for the cross rails that connect the parallel rails?

From what I saw in the configuration tools the base model has nothing on the roof. Not even the parrallel rails.

I read somewhere (don't remember where though) that the Trail is the only model that comes with the roofrack/crossbars. I believe the Limited and SR5 only have the rack without the crossbars, which I'm sure are optional.

I know cross rails are sold as accessories, but not sure if they come standard in some models.

Now that you mention it, when you look at the photos on the Toyota website, all the models EXCEPT the Trail Edition say "vehicle shown with accessory roof rail crossbars". To me that means you are correct that the Trail Edition comes with the crossbars.

Maybe the "Roof Rack-CR10" is some other roof-top basket rack accessory?

How ironic. Today I received an email from Toyota about roof rack cross bars.....as an accessory.:50cal:

I would get Yakima towers and crossbars instead of the factory ones. For one, it provides more clearance on the roof when using the snowboard rack at max capacity.
