Roof Rack Side accessory panel

I received my second order of the roof rack side panel and the roof rack mounts are different from the first one I previously ordered a month before it. The bends have a cut on the ends which looks like crap and doesn’t have a clean look. I’ve sent multiple emails and have not heard back. I need this for a upcoming trip...

Pretty sure they put those in as a stress relief cut for the bend. If they did that then they probably aren't making the ones without them anymore. Just a guess though.
