My '85 4Runner isn't accessible at the moment and I want to order a roof rack for it. Wilderness (Garvin Industries) makes a line that bolt directly to fiberglass tops and I'm thinking about going with one that's 44" x 60" (with 6" sides). I'm thinking that the top of the top of the fiberglass on a Gen 1 is roughly 43" x 75" (but that's only an educated guess).
Would someone measure their top and let me know what their top dimensions are (as in top of the top)?
The rails are fully adjustable over the width and I don't think it would look bad if it sticks out an inch or two. I just need to make sure that I'm in the right ball park wrt the dimensions.
If anyone has one of these installed I would be very interested to know what they think about it.
