roof rack

Any one with a after market roof rack. I want to take off the factory one and replace it with aftermarket. I have to be careful with the overall height of it due to clearance issues in my garage. Anyone with pics?

I had a Yakima basket on my 98, loved it. I put it on my 03 as soon as I got it and the wind noise was awful. I tried moving the basket back and forth to disrupt the frequency and I couldn't do it. It was horribly loud, even at 25 mph. If you get a new rack or basket, just try to speak with someone who has the same model first.

I really like the gobi 4Runner stealth rack, that is exactly what I am looking for thanks for sharing the link.

The Gobi is fantastic. But it is $1,300 and that's a bit of a turn off. Check out Baja Rack. They make a rack that attaches to the stock rack the same as a Thule or Yakima, they are supposedly coming out with a bolt on rack for the 4runner similar to the one they already make for the FJ. BTW I don't work for Baja Rack or anything, I've just been reading up on them because I may buy their Mule or this new 4Runner rack when/if it becomes available.

Wouldn't it be great if Gobi would let us do a group buy? I'm sure we could find enough people on here for it. I'd be interested if they'd do something like that.
