Roof Racks

How many of you guys have roof racks on your 1st Gen T4R? I am looking to get one and I don't know who to get one from and if there is even mounting hardware for the 1st Gen roof rails. Any help would be great. Much obliged.

After much contemplation, I think I am going to install one of these on my 85 4Runner:

It will get installed on the fiberglass shell and not on the metal part of the cab. I will have to drop the headliner in the shell and drill holes but it seems to be the best option. The mounting rails adjust side to side and it seems that the 44" x 60" with 6" sides would work really well. My thoughts were to place the mounting rails just inside the two rear-most windows and as far forward as possible.

What kind of roof rack are you looking for?
If you want something on the factory rails, you can get Thule or Yakima roof racks. I have experience with both, and both work well. You can add bike racks/ski snowboard, kayak, and a lot more.

I'm sure there are other places to buy them. I bought my ARB bullbar and a few other things from them and they had pretty good prices and service.

I would never drill holes in my FZJ80 but for some reason drilling holes in the 4Runner fiberglass for this rack just seems to make a lot of sense. By using good silicone or Sonneborn NP1 I don't think it would ever leak.

Not sure what kind of rack you are looking, but I have a set of Yakima rails on mine...

Im looking to get a rack also. Im looking for a safari rack, any one know of wher you can get them for a 2nd gen?
