Roof Racks

I have been searching thru threads trying to find any info about roof racks. Is it possible to put a roof rack on a 91 Runner that does not have a factory one. If so what kind of modifications and I looking at doing and what precautions should I take before installing one.

I have been searching for the same information. I have found several threads two of which include how to information. I plan on hitting the junk yard and pulling one off of a similar rig and installing it on mine. I may take pics and do a write up.
