Okay, so I purchased an 05 SR in Dec. 2004. Started hearing rattleing from the roof. After reading all the posts about the sunroof problems I thought damn, I've got the sunroof ratteling and it was driving me nuts. I tried opening and closing the roof, read up on putting spacers on the sunroof bars, you know the routine. My 16 year-old daughter says to me, "Are you sure it's not the rack on top of the roof?" I check the rack out and all of the tightening bolts are loose. I tightened those up and rattle is gone. Just a small word of advice. check the roof rack and make sure all the cross bar adjuster bolts are tight. Hope this helps some with those annoying rattles. Love this truck though.

:good to konw, really good to know. i started to worry again about the infamous sunroof rattle. i think Toyota has "largely" elevated the sunroof quality now... and the seat rattle too, i haven't read anybody with an 05 complain about seat rattle.. it pays to wait, i didn't think the 03 was the safest model year to buy, even for a toyota.
