Rotor size question

Hi, what did you end up doing? I have rims available to me and wondering is the downsizing worked.

While I was looking for a good set of calipers/rotors a friend with a Tacoma offered me what I paid for the rims so I let them go.

I had one hell of a time finding mine, i have an 04 SR5 4WD and i ended up having the bigger 338mm, still trying to figure out has that option got on my T4R when its an SR5

Some clues to look for?

Have your dust shields been modified (or replaced), the smaller shields would interfere with the larger rotor, if not pushed away...?

Did you run the VIN on the Toyota site to see if 16" wheels came with the truck, or the 17" option?

The info below was extremely helpful in determining the rotor size I need. I am ~1500 miles away from the vehicle and needed to determine what rotors to order when I go to work on the my 4Runner. The Toyota help line and local dealer could not determine rotor size by the VIN. This info allowed me to figure it out and I'll order parts before I leave.

I believe that only the Sport models had the 338mm rotors. The 319mm rotors should have a 13WG or 13WL marking on the calipers while the 338mm rotors have a 13WH marking on the calipers. Here's the rotor diameter as indicated by the markings on the calipers:

13WH- 13.3"/338mm rotor diameter
13WL- 12.6"/319mm rotor diameter
13WG- 12.6"/319mm rotor diameter
