Rough gear engagment 4wd

Vehicle, 2004 v6 4wd Limited,

Everything is smooth, when i put her in gear (2wd) all the shifts are extremely smooth...

In 4wd she shifts smooth too, but just going from "park" to "D" while in 4wd she engages pretty rough. Is this normal? or should I be worried about something, I hear some people just leave theirs in 4wd all time, and I wouldn't do that just because of the way mine engages while in 4wd. So maybe its not normal... What do you guys think?

IMO it is not normal at all…
Unfortunately, I do not know what s casing this issue in your case..

Are you talking about high range or low range? They are abrupt/rough when in 4lo.
