started up fine today but noticed the idle was rough. went for a short drive into town and it stalled 3 miles down the road when i stopped at a stop sign. started up no problem, went to the bank and it died before i could put it in park.
again started no problem, made one more stop in town, turned off and started no problem, but as i was backing out of parking space it stalled again.
took a few cranks to start and would die before i could shift to drive. checked under hood, looks ok upon intersection inspection. got it started and took off, stalled again at stop sign. two tries and it got going again.
decided no stopping, went straight home. the last time it stalled the CEL came on and the VCS and trac control lights are illuminated now.
its fine while driving, might be a little sluggish, can't really tell, also thought the power steering might have gotten a little heavy before it would stall.
the last few weeks, I've been having an issue with the traction control or so i thought on dry roads, would very briefly cut power and be fine right after.
I have a hobie cat that weighs 400 pounds, and when pulling it out of the water or even the empty trailer, it cuts power, and I get the sound of ABS and the skidding dash light flashes. I thought I was having issues with the traction control but now Im thinking that was early symptom of current problem and making everything wacky.
wires are new in last year, they are the thin blue wires, plugs too, but I don't know what they are, bought the car in march and was told its all been replaced.
should I inspect the throttle body and IACV?
I'll be able to check codes tonight when buddy brings over a scan tool,
idle is rough at 800 rpm, no bouncing or fluctuating, if I rev it steady at 1200 or more its smooth
thanks
