1997 4Runner SR5 4WD 3.4
I’ve tried for quite a while to get this thermostat housing nut off but have had no luck. It’s the one closest to the timing belt cover that’s tucked away and difficult to get to. (Photos attached) I’ve tried the specialty sockets - Harbor Freight, Irwin, and Powerbuilt, but I’ve had no luck. I’ve tried a small pair of vice grip locking pliers. Nothing. I’m not a welder, so that’s not an option. I have the replacement nuts and bolts. This bolt will need to come out too since it’s so chewed up. Any suggestions? This is a huge PIA.
