Royal Purple?

I am going to do an oil change myself for the first time. My 4R has 32000 miles on it and i was thinking about putting Royal Purple and a K&N oil filter, and also doing a rear diff fluid change to Royal Purple. Ive used Royal Purple oil and K&N filters in all of my vehicles before with awesome results. My question is, how hard is it to change the rear diff fluid? Also, is the K&N filter good to use in the 4R. I have the 4.0 V6 engine. Thanks

i currently run RP in the diff and transfer case...i also at one point was running RP. Had a oil analysis done on it and it showed just fine (some people are sketchy over RP and their analysis).

Since the RP I have run...
5w30 M1
0W30 Castrol Syntec
5w30 Pennzoil Platinum
5w30 Valvoline SynPower (current)

As soon as my stash of Valvoline Syn is gone, im going back to RP. Truck seemed to like it and mileage was greater than that of any other oil I have run yet

Its pretty easy to figure out how to do this stuff. I put Royal Purple in mine last winter. Trans. case and both diffs.

In my honest opinion...'nothing that you will notice'. It would be a very small amount. The nice thing is that the synthetic oil will last longer, take more heat than regular oil and is better protection.
