Fishing Rod Mount
So needing a better way to haul around a bunch of fishing Rods when on outings I decided to try to make a fishing rod mount. I had seen a few already that I posted earlier on this thread so here's what i came up with. I still plan on painting it and testing it to see how it holds for the next few days.

Cargo Box Build
For a while now I have been looking for a cargo box to put in my 4runner because I was getting annoyed of my having to spare oil/water, tool box, and cables moving around when I was driving. I had looked into buying a normal cargo box but I couldn't find one that I liked. When I saw the cargo boxes by 4-Ripcord and BigFishAllDay I knew I had found what I had been needing.
Supplies/Parts
$18.00 - Plywood from Home-depot
$20.00 - 6' by 8' Area Rug from Walmart
$10.00 - worth of assorted goods.
Open-ended "S"-Hooks
Common nails
Carpet Tacks
2 Turnbuckles
2 Zinc-Plated Steel Screw Eyes
2 hinges
1 Latch
These two I already had lying around the garage
Spray paint
1" by 2" pine board that I used as support beams
Total of about $50.00
Tools Used
Hammer
Jig Saw
Dremel
Tape measure
permanent marker
Time
I spent roughly 3 afternoons working on this. Working generally 4 hours each night.
Sorry for the all the pics i went a little crazy with the camera.

Halfway through the build I saw that there would be a space that would go unused if i covered it up. I think I can fit a good sized paracord in that spot. I made a few supporting brackets to leave the space open.
Outside side of the cargo box.
Fitting it in to make sure it all fits.
Contoured the edges so that they don't hit the sides of the 4runner

Painted the inside
When I went to the do the test fit with the lid I found I needing to do more cutting to make sure nothing hit.
Carpeted the whole thing
