RPMs @ Idle

I'm trying to figure out if my runner is acting up or not... it just recently got warmer and I can't tell if it's idling low because it doesn't need to warm up or what... in park with a V6 auto i'm at about 700rpm... does this sound about right? Thanks.

yea, sounds fine to me..your probably used to the truck idling at higher speeds since these trucks seem to do that..But my truck gets to that low every so often...

The runner was back to its usual business of idling high after a cold start so I suppose, it was just idling low since it was actually warm out for once, thanks for assistance.

Yotafun: Limerick (yes, by the power plant) so about 45 minutes from you?

I just recently changed my spark plugs and wires now it idles at about 700rpm, but someone who's touched the truck before used champion plugs and my idle used to be 1500rpm. 700rpm sounds very normal especially now that the truck runs like new all over again. It feels like a whole new truck.

700-800rpm is what it should be after it gets to operating temp.

x2

Thats what it was resting at today after the change.

seems like that all the time though, only revs high at first start but at operating temps it is in the 700-800 range.

600-650 with deckplate, removed intake silencers and k&n... don't know if that would affect it or not??????

MIne idles about 550-600 and it shakes at idle. I am told that you cannot adjust the idle because the computer will jsut compensate and lower it again. I guess I need to try plugs again. No one around here carries any decent ones.
