Rs2000 vip alarm?

I received my keyless remote today and went out to program it, didn't work. So I go to the ecu program option and when I get to my ecu box it says RS2000 model number 08190-35010. The remote I ordered is for the RS3000 and obviously won't work.

Anybody else have this model? And do you know what remote I need?

Or can I hook an aftermarket system up to the existing wires? I'm pretty sure wiring a woke new system is beyond my electrical know how.

I decided to do a little research and found: For the 1999 4Runner

There was a factory installed alarm with window switch.

There was a dealer added alarm without the window switch. Grey colored.

I could find absolutely no reference to an RS2000 for any Toyota model or year.

Yours is clearly "Add(ed)on" as stated on the the manual you found. You need to look at:

TSB (T.echnical S.ervice B.ulletin) -AX005-99 for specific programming information.

TSB does not cover RS2000. I have the RS2000 and its factory. Toyota says $150 for remote and program and head unit not available if its bad.

There is no Toyota RS2000 that I know of. Unless you want a sewing machine. :

I doubt your 1999 4Runner came with the RS3000 alarm system. I'm pretty sure in 1999 they started using the RS3200 which had the rear window button. I'm guessing your issue is that you have the wrong remote.

I also have the VIP RS2000 ECU. Did you find anything out in two years?

I also have a RS2000. The connections are the same as the RS3000. Are they interchangeable?
