Rubber melting

Looks like I might be driving to Austin!! I live in FL and I have an 08 with the "sticky" hatch. I've also had an 03 with no problems. Weird.

Hold on now, this is about the rubber around the windows that they fixed for me (see pics earlier in thread). I replaced my own latch 2 years ago. They do know about the latch but did NOT say they would refund the money and time I put into it.fftopic:

Yes I got the parts and labor for the rubber around the windows for free but that is all. They did tell me they get a latch issue about once a week and that it cost around $400 for them to fix it. Doing it myself only cost $70 for the part (again 2 years ago).

What is the deal. Now the driver side is doing it. I have a 2001 ford truck and 68 Mustang that was totally rebuilt in 1991. Neither one of these has this issue. WTF.

To top it all off now the rear hatch latch is doing it again.
