Rubbing with 265/75

Where are the common places the front tires would normally rub? I had 265/75/16 BFG AT's installed recently and if I am turning right and hit a bump I hear a loud bang from the pass side. I have removed the running boards and have limited flares. I need to get this fixed before I go driving out on the beach next week.

well each 4runner will be different on where it rubs so wat u need to do is sit in the driveway and fully crank the wheel to the right, then trim wat it is touching and do that with the wheels fully cranked to the left also...

You should also be able to see the rub marks that the tire has made. If it's the thin plastic inner fender liner you can soften it with a heat gun and hold it in place till it cools (wear gloves).

The same thing happens to me when I'm on trails and make a hard turn, but it only happens when the suspension is compressed, e.g. descending tight switch backs.
Doesn't bug me as its not severe enough.

If you are rubbing with 265/75s then your suspension is probably shot...

I havent heard anyone complain of rubbing with any of those tires, I think the only rubbing i had with the 265/75 was making a hard turn into a driveway that would bounce you up and down... if you know what I mean... where the entrance was almost "v" shaped. and my suspension was shot.

how long has it been since you replaced the shocks/springs??

Cut the lower portion of the plastic away and then go slow adult on the pinch weld and firewall with a big ****ing hammer. No need to go full retaard with 265/75's. :banana:
