Ruff Rider

I have a 99 4 Runner and I use it as a Survey vehicle so I do alot of highway driving as well as offroad. I only have about 150lb of equipment in the cargo area. The 4runner is completly stock with 140,000 miles on it.

My problem is it rides like brick on and off road. Any suggestions or help to improve the ride quality???
It does seem to sit lower than some 4runners I see out on the road.

rear sag?

This is quite common as the miles and time pile up.

It is likely time for new shocks. There are as many opinions on which are best as there are shocks.

Some people like the Bilsteins, some favor the Tokico Trekmasters, some like the OLD Man Emu Nitrochargers.

It is also possible the springs have outlived their usefulness-particulary the rears.

Again, Old Man Emu makes spring replacements-too many to discuss here. Also Performance Products offers a 1" rear lift with spring and shock combo.

Welcome to a first time poster!:awais:
