Newish to the forum, had an account here many years ago. This is my 5th toyota and my second 4runner(3 tacomas,96,97,05). Picked up this 1997 sr5,3.4l manual for $2500 with 207k miles. Plans are 3 inch toltec lift, 2 inch body lift, 33x12.50r15s, painting the exterior multicam and rhino lining the interior. Eventually plan on mounting Addict Offroad bumpers and a winch. The vehicle is mainly going to be a daily driver with the occasional adventure thrown in.

Nice find. If you're only going 33s then a BL is unnecessary or you can do the BL and do 35s

yea I'm mostly going 33s for now because I want to do some more upgrades just to strengthen the drivetrain up a little before I put on 35's.

I got the bumpers pulled off as well as the sr5 fender flares and running boards. Picked up a replacement front bumper off craigslist and got that painted and mounted. Interior ripped out, bed liner applied, and the exterior sanded. Lift was delivered today as well so now I'm just waiting on the wheels and tires.

I don't have many days off for the next week so I figured I'd take advantage of today. By the end of the year probably have bumpers ordered if not put on, all new tierod ends, lbj, replace all wheel bearing, undercoat the frame and maybe save up for a set of remote reservoir front coilover and aftermarket uca's. End goal would be four linked front/rear with full width axles and 36's. Maybe an exo cage.

Got the paint finished, doesn't look amazing but that was kind of the idea :rofl: Also got the 2" body lift put on and the bumper relocated. Working on making some gap guards and then its just a waiting game for tires and wheels to arrive so I can install the 3 inch suspension.

Got the 3 inch touted spacer and coil spring installed with some 15x12 black Bart wheels and 33x12.50r15 extreme mud claws
