Running an Aux Fuse Block - ?'s

So first I will tell you my plans, then you guys let me know what you think of it and what I should use.

I plan on running 6/8 awg wire with an inline fuse (40A) to a 6 spot Blue Sea fuse block that has a max rating of 100A (under the dash.) I then plan on running 2 new 12v plugs to the fuse block which I will put in the dash and also connecting a CB to the fuse block. I can then wire in my radar detector which will be 4 spots taken up.

Can I use the last two open spots for my PIAA lights (510's & 520's)?

Will this setup work? What would be the best setup to use? I am not set on this and your help will be greatly appreciated.

Sure you can use the remaining two spots for the lights. What I would do is to wire the fuse block in such a way so that three spots are always hot (2 x 12v outlets, cb) and the other three are hot only with the ignition on (radar, 2 x lights). This way the 3 that are ignition only will automatically shut off if you accidently leave the switches on when shutting down the vehicle, and not drain down your battery.
