Running Board question- Finally Solved!

Its been a long time since I have been looking to find running boards for my Limited that would fit well and also look good. My wife is kinda tiny and I definitely needed the running boards.

Anyway, I ordered the Dee Zee's and installed them this morning. I believe that they look good. They were somewhat of a snug fit with the Husky Mud Guards, but they just slightly touch the front mug guards- so I am not worried. Pictures attached- before yall yell at me and say 'this thread is worthless without pics!!'

looks awesome! and nice feet. I was almost going to buy those, but, i found a local guy selling me the OEM running boards for cheaper.

how much did you pay out the door?

JU- Paid $325 for these with brackets! We have a local shop here that does nothing but truck accessories and installations and after getting to know the owner a little, he was kind enough to offer a good deal on them. I think the usual price on these is $325 RB + $150 for installation kit if I am not mistaken.

like those boards!!

Picking up my new 2011 limited Monday and want to put running boards
on it. Thanks for show pics I am getting those:zoom::zoom:

These look nice. How far do these stick out from the side? From the photos they look to be as narrow or narrower than the stock RB's

King pin- fair enough. I promise that I'll take some better pics and post them tomorrow . These were in the garage with little light and combine that with my spectacular photography skills .
To answer the question about how much they stick out- I will measure and let you know. However I can certainly say that they provide plenty of space for my size 11 shoe , something that the OEM boards that I tried could not even begin to do.

Is anyone familiar with these running boards? They look pretty nice, just not sure if they're any good. A bit pricey, but worth it if they're nicer than factory Toyota.

I've heard that these Dee Zees stick out much further than the OEM ones.

Here are some pics i found a few months ago. They have a model with chrome and one without chrome. Hopefully these will help. I don't like the look of nerf bars, so for me it was either the dee zees or the OEM. I decided to try the OEMs first, since i could get them for cheaper. Good luck sir

Thanks JU! Those photos show some better angles. They do look like they will work well. Now just have to find the best deal.

Good luck with your new one's. Let me know if you need anything.

haha. No problem man. Like i said those boards look good. They were just more than i wanted to spend. It looks like you have to buy the boards PLUS by the mounting brackets. I think i saw the boards for like $340ish(for the chrome ones), but, then it was another $135ish for the brackets. Plus shipping, So all in all it was going to be around $550.

I haven't really searched the web yet, but, here is dee zee's website.

Anyone know who has the Dee Zee brackets in stock?

OK just ordered the Dee Zee boards with the chrome side from ourdealsrock.net. Brackets were backordered, so I'm trying to find another source for those. Anyone know?

Better pictures I hope

Sorry that this has taken longer than I had originally promised. Here are some new pictures of the T4R with the Dee Zee Running Boards right after it was washed! I hope you guys like these better.

Also for the person who asked how much these running boards stick out- they stick out exactly 4.5 inches.

Looks good. And thanks for the measurement. On a hunch I went ahead and bought them too. Installed them today and they are much more useful than the stock one's I removed. I think they look better too. I really like the look and functionality of the rubber grommets on top.

The brackets are not quite as nice as the stock ones, but will do the job just fine.

I'll attach my photos in the next couple days.

FJ100, I look forward to seeing your pictures! Yes, they definitely look good and are very functional- my wife loves them!
