Running Boards 2010 - Bad Experience

So, I pay the monstrous parts/labor to get my running boards installed after market at the Toyota dealershipon my 2010 Limited. Little did I know they woudl be sawing into my trim, see pictures. My fault for not seeing it before I left, install took 3 hours, so it was dark outside when delivery occurred. Seriosoulsy, this is insane. I'm going back in Monday, demanding full refund and full body work, see pic, they cut it on both sides. What would you do fellow T4R owners?

Those are aftermarket running boards non Toyota? I would make sure the instructions require the cutting of the side skirt if so then that is your fault for not reading the instructions prior to have them installed and the dealer for not informing you about the cutting unless they assumed you knew?

I assume that is a section that is cut out or is that a big a$$ scratch? If that is a big scratch then the techs were banking on you not seeing it which sucks and I would be super pissed to

I have that too. It was probably like that from the factory. I also had my dealer put on running boards so I am not sure. Mine looks exactly like yours.

I think that's the clear 3m product to protect part of the rocker guard. Tough to tell by my phone.

Those are aftermarket running boards? They look just like my factory ones and I installed mine without trimming anything. The factory running boards have plenty of adjustments left,right and you can also adjust all the way out to have a large area to step into the vehicle.

That's what it is. It's the film applied to protect the paint from road spray from the tire when a running board is not in place. My cousin has the the film with no running board on her 2010 SR5.

Mine has the running boards and the same film on both sides. All is ok. If you get a white line, it might be from detailing (wax). You can buff the wax line with a tooth brush.

Its nothing to worry about, I'm pretty sure everyone has it. I have it, I thought my skirt was cracked at first after wheeling, but if you run your finger along the edge its just a film.

Thanks, yes, I did have it waxed the day I brought it in for the running boards. So the wax must have made it more noticeable, as it is on both sides of the skirt. Thanks all for the comments.
