Well, pulled the bars off today...15 minutes very easy.

I'll probably put them back on tomorrow night though and leave them on until winter is over because, just going for a little ride today I noticed how much more dirt and tire spray was on the side of the vehicle with them off...

No no, sell them to me... I can pick them up!

I have a pair of brand spankin new sr5 running boards taking up space in my garage...problem is PA to MT is quite the drive. But, if anyone wants them, they are FREE!!!

I have boards too. I want to pull those and install a set of the tube style bars, like the ones on the SE. Mine are also free to a good home after I remove them.

Montana - your rig looks great with those black rims!

Here is my 04 without the rb's. Kind of like a free 2 inch lift.

Nice pics! I was wondering the same thing. I have the running boards, and I think they look cool, but they are SO dumb! I wear heels to work, so there is no way to get a foot on them and I find myself jumping out the of truck to avoid them. Ultimately, I get salt on the backs of my pants...it's a mess. I really don't see the point of them unless your 4' tall.

Now I wish I had them on my Ram. That is a gymnastic maneuver to get into that beast. I have the Thunder Road package which I believe has more lift and larger tires. I told my husband that if we buy it out, we're getting running boards and a cap.

BTW - Montana, I'm jealous of your location! I wrangled on a dude ranch in Utica back in 1997 and fell in love with the state. I prefer to be where there are less people...and more genuine people to boot. :)

Phew..! When You said You were wearing "heals" You had me wondering for a minute...;-)

"I find myself jumping out of the truck to avoid them"

This is one reason why I wanted to try with them off, because they are too high to use and I have to step over them to get in & out.
