Running boards vs Step up tubes

As an owner of a new 2010 T4R, black, SR5, I am planning to install either running boards or step up tubes. I realize the tubes are less expensive and that is an advantage. What are other advantages or disadvantages of each? Also, I have found the site for runningboardwarehouse. What other sites would be good to look at. Thanks in advance, Jerry G
