Running boards worth selling?

I think I'm going to take my running boards off. They're in perfect shape. Are they worth selling? And if so, how much is a fair price?

yea, if you're gonna do some offroading best to take them off before they get banged up. i sold my sr5 running boards off my 98 for $130..probably a lil overpriced but the guy bought em. It'll also make your truck look a lil lifted. :guitar2:

When I took mine off last year I listed them for $40 on CL. Saw quite a few others selling for around the same price. Didn't get any response. Dropped my price to $30 - no response. Finally dropped the price to $20 and sold them.

With all the 4runners around here (CO) being used for off-road applications, there are lots of running boards for sale and not too many people who want them. Maybe if people in your neck of the woods are using 4runners more for mall-crawling there might be a higher demand but there just isn't that much demand here.

I threw mine up on a few forum classified sections and got nothing. I just listed them on CL now so hopefully I'll get some level of interest I get back from that.

Thanks for the responses guys.

How much are you listing them for? What I'm wondering about is since mine are off a Sport (Same as the Limited's) they're painted to match, so someone would have to have a silver 4Runner to buy them.

I sold mine when I lived in Denver for $100 on CL. The guy that bought them had a purple 4runner, and my running boards were black. He said he didnt care what color they were, seemed odd to me but I didnt say anything, I just took his hundred dollar bill and helped him load them! :)
