It's been awhile since I've been on here.

I have my running boards off since I've lifted the front 2". You guys still have them off or on?

No lift yet, but I've had mine off since I bought the runner... Think she looks better without'm.

mine have been off for about 6 months now.. but since i installed my Daystar 2.5/1.5 last weekend, the wife is making me put them back on this weekend. she says she can't get her 5'2" self in now gracefully while wearing a skirt. haha.

I left mine on. There is too much junk that hangs below the rocker panels. The 4R under body is far from a clean design.

I agree! I also like to try to minimize the amount of gunk and debris that hits the side of the 4Runner. Even my Sport Edition tubes deflect a decent amount of road gunk.

I actually swapped the sport tubes for Limited boards and roof rack. The roof rack is more robust and the standard running boards look better IMO.

Had mine off on my 95 4Runner and kept them on my 07, but I agree with Clock, the outline of the truck is much cleaner with them on. The same was true on the second gens, if you took them off it exposed all sorts of things underneath the truck.

Also the girlfriend always prefer them.

I had running boards until I ruined then on a trail ride in Hollister. My opinion, if you are serious about offroading then just take them off and switch to sliders. They are thin aluminum with plastic and will not stand up to that kind of abuse. That said, I liked the convenience of having running boards...

I want some R.B but when I got my truck it didn't have them. I'm waiting to get payed and to find a totaled 4R with some so I can take them and not be charged a arm, leg, and left nut for the 2!

Have kept mine on since i got it. I have 4 year old twins so i would rather them be able to climb in on their own than me having to pick them up every time we load up. My wife is only 5'2", so she appreciates them.

Let's see some pics of the runners w/out em on this thread? - Sent via Tapatalk for Android

I left mine on. I would like to take them off but I don't want to have to under coat the frame every 30 day's to keep the rust from showing.:wow:

I took mine off to go wheeling and nearly broke my ass getting out of the truck, with lift and my midget hieght 5'8. I think I might reinstall them, I'm not sure if I like the truck better with/without....:jump:
