besides hacking the res. off, it looks like you will need to weld a hanger to the angled pipe/tip, also some say the smell a little less noticable with the exit fully to the side instead of just angled slightly to side. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/perfo...more/66690-tailpipe-mod-complete-4th-gen.html
Dude, you can't heat and bend a 2.5" exhaust pipe 90 deg......
Muffler shop can do a tailpipe. Also magnaflow cat back is side exit. Rotten egg smell is your cats- different problem.

I had a muffler shop do this and add a chrome tip for like $60. Like the others have said, it reduces the smell but if you drop the hammer with the rear window open you can still smell it, not overwhelming like before but its still there. The second benefit of doing this mod is that it increases you departure angle off of obstacles; I had hit the tip of the straight-out-the-back factory exhaust numerous times offroading. Not so anymore!

whoops, sorry. didn't mean you could bend it 90 degress completely. i got mine out to about 30 degrees and added a turndown tip that i angled slightly down and out, that sufficed for me. its out from under and also to the side.
yes it may be a little pinched at the turning point where the resonator used to be, but it can't be impeding that much air flow. just a temporary deal until i can get to my house back at school where my welding stuff is and get a real elbow on there.
