RUST....Not My Favorite Color

My 97 Toy is developing a rust spot the size of a dime where the weather stripping encircles the passenger side door frame. In particular at the bottom of the frame underneath the stripping itself :crybaby:. Living in Atlanta, Georgia, I would have thought that rust only affected and wreaked havoc on you guys in the snowy or salt water regions of our world :wtf:. On second thought I realize it happens anywhere standing water is found over a specified period of time. With that I assume the water has pooled over time in that spot.

Any quick and easy way to get rid of this metal killer or should special care, time and money go into this application. Thanks to my 4Runner family in advance.

From the sound of it it's not much. Any pics? The rust the guys up north get is 100x worse than anything we'll encounter down here in the south, unless you live by the ocean and drive on beach every weekend.
