Rusty Brush Guard

I have a Smitty Built Brush guard (black) and just noticed some paint starting to peel and some rust. In some spots the paint is bubbling. I have had it for about a year and a half and is wondering if anyone else is having trouble with theirs. At this rate it'll be rusted in another year. Not too happy about this one. Shouldn't have to put more money into something that was already expensive.

does it have a warranty?? I know Westin Black Products have a 5 year, I would think smittybuilt would have a comparable warranty.

I used to have black powder coated Brush Guard on my Montero. I do remember that after ~2yr. it start rusting in places where I had stone chips. Powder coat is durable, but sometimes not enough to resist some dirt and stones from the roads, especially when 18wheeler is shooting them to you. The only way to prevent is to inspect it regularly and painted with black under-body rust proofing paint.
