Reason for selling: In a nutshell while on a trip to fl in mid December I scoured craigslist with the intent of trailering an unsalted 4x4 north to cover fuel and tolls on the trip.
Unfortunately I made the mistake of picking up an old toyota that I have a softness for after losing one with sentimental value to salt. My wife still has the goal of selling this vehicle so I must keep it listed and make an attempt to sell. In the meantime it is registered, inspected, insured and being dd'ed on days where it isn't salty. I'm enjoying the hell out of it and will continue to do so while working on it and researching proper lift kits, bumpers and supporting mods as time allows.

1997 Toyota 4runner 4x4 Limited.
v6, auto, 4x4, trailer hitch, oem locking differential option
203,600+ miles. Brought it back with 198,600 miles. The miles are climbing.
The paint is rough all around as is most long term southern cars that lived outside, the lack of rust pictured as well as possible far outweighs the very poor paint condition. Couple minor dings and scuffs as expected with an 18 year old vehicle.
4/1: Untorn front seats added, 5th gen trail wheels with good tires.
3/24: Swapped in better interior and roof rails from a parts car, drivers seat is torn, but overall a nice improvement from the original sun bleached interior. Oil still has not needed to be added since the 2/1 chang
2/1: Changed oil and filter (rotella t6), rear diff and transfer case fluids, did not have a m12 bit handy for front diff fluid will be done shortly. Added new remote keyfob.
1/19 New windshield from jn phillips on.
1/18 Power steering and brake fluid flushed
sunroof track has been pulled out cleaned and lubed, still having a motor/switch issue with roof. Carpets overall look very good, currently using sams club's finest rubber floor mats. All cupholders unbroken, interior minus sunroof is pretty good for the age and miles, any parts showing wear or issues were swapped with a parts vehicle i purchased.
Have put over 5000 miles on it since acquiring with 0 issues has consumed very little to no oil in that time. 4wd high (push button) and low works with 0 issues, engine runs great, transmission doesn't slip. Ac immediately cold. To me it drives as it should being a mid 90s body on frame suv.
Tranny fluid on dipstick looks to be roughly mid life, no milkshake on dipstick, have a case of dex 3 and filter sitting here for when i find time to flush.
Aftermarket radio with usb, older unit with non a2dp bluetooth and a detachable faceplate that doesn't like to read clear till the vehicle isn't sub freezing inside.
Tires are in great shape and show mid year 2014 date code. Battery sticker shows it was replaced 11/16. Receipts for maintenance, ac compressor, alternator and other items in the last couple years. Without receipts of it I assume the timing belt is around being due, on the upside the 3.4 is a non interference engine.
Nh does not title vehicles of its age. Will be sold as is with bill of sale and copy of current nh registration for registering and titling in other states. Vin check screenshot shows no title issues and ownership history in ca and fl.
$4500 cash as it is. No trades. As the vehicle is worked on more the price will adjust.
As stated at the start I'm fulfilling a spouse requirement to list the vehicle, outside of that there is little to no motivation to sell it.
Mid 90s vehicles with undercarriages like this are rare in new england, there is however no question it has cosmetic rough edges. Tracking down and bringing a vehicle back from a salt free environment is a significant commitment of time and money.
To be 100% upfront, sale price = what the vehicle cost + 700 in fuel/tolls for 3k ish mile round trip + reg/inspection + windshield and other money put into maintenance/fixes.
