sacramento powder coating

so instead of gettin my rig some new shoes, i figure i will just clean em up and have them powder coated black. any recomendations of places in the sacramento area to have this done?

A powder coat? Man, I don't think so. You could probably have them sandblasted, and then re-coated or whatever, but then that's gonna cost some more bucks.

you can have it powder coated over again, but not really taken off. the easiest way to do it so you can take it off is vinal. same stuff that di-cut stickers are made from. go to a local auto decal place, and see what they can do for you. if all else fails and you dont like it, peel it right off.

but lets get back on topic. any sacramento area recomendations?

When i had mine done i used Wions Powdercoat in sac. They were by far the cheapest place. I think i paid 45 per rim for them to be blasted and PC'd black.

But when i had the tires put on the PC chipped and Les schwab had to redo them for me. They have been solid since then.

Les schwab does pc? how much did that run you to have done?

and did you have to pay Les schwab to take the tires off and put them back on before and after? how much did they charge for that also?

Les schwab sends them out to have them done. I dont know what they cost because it was on their dime since they jacked the original coat. I made a big stink about it so they paid all the costs and did the siping on the tires for free. So basically all i paid them was for the tires I bought and normal mounting costs...which i dont remember what it was. It worked out good for me because the first PC was too glossy for my liking, they are a much flatter black now.

Normally I think they are probably pricier than other places but a phone call would answer that for sure.
