Sacramento this weekend, Sunday Snow off roading El Dorado Nat'l forest

So last weekend, 2 of us went out and played in the snow.

Any takers to come out this Sunday for a bit of snow running?

There is usually lots of trucks and families up there, so its pretty safe

And there is always someone who will pull you out (pretty much)

All you need is lunch, some drinks, maybe a chains, a shovel, a CB if youve got one or FRS

Meet up at the Starbucks off of HWY 50 / El Dorado hills blvd at say 10am.

Drive into the snow is about 1 hour from there and then you will be 4WD until we come out

Weather man is only accurate for fresh falling snow down to about 3 to 4 days here. We do our best. Storm coming in is bringing a promise of fresh snow. These are snow runs, not 4x4 rock crawling planned out trips. This is a unplowed paved road through the El Dorado forest, and just awesome to travel in the fresh snow! So these are like planning a group to hit the big waves. You gotta wait for the weather to play along and the page goes out. If you can go great! If not, you miss out and then later have to suffer through my pics!!

weather forecast for next week

is for cloud, but no rain/snow

so i doubt we will have any fresh stuff.

actually, for off roading power does not matter, your going to be wheeling in snow thats maybe 1 to 2 feet deep, with an ice base

and living in the east bay, you realize, your probably 1 to 2 hours from here before we leave to go to the snow - so you could be up for 3 hours commute each way

makes for a long day, but happy to have you along if you want to come out

I will probably go up next sunday, if I am over this bug

You guys really know how to rub it in. I'm stuck here in Indy with no snow and no forcast of any.

I've tried an Old Indian Snow Dance, but I can not get it to work.
