I wish I could find something like this being parted out. I would love to take out a few of the limited features for my Sport.
 
Ahhh, my eyes!! I can't even look at a 4Runner in that type of condition; it puts a rip through my heart. The 4Runner is also from New Jersey. I don't think that truck would ever run the same.

Now, on the other hand, that JBL radio does look very nice! I wish I could get a few Limited parts for my Sport.
 
That doesn't look too bad. Mayby a $3-5k but it's a salvage title so the 16k buy it now price seems a bit high.
 
i was eyeing this right as it was posted but the price is way too much :( I definitely could use some of the parts and even considered splitting it w/ another person but still too high for my blood :(

o well... would have been a nice candidate for a parts vehicle though.

WOuld be a great parts vehicle, but for $16k????? ANybody who wants to upgrade their interior to limited. ANd the drive train spares would be nice. ENgine/gearbox, axles, etc IF I had the garage space I would get one sometime and part it up and sell the pieces I dont need/want.
 
I think you guys are looking for a rollover vehicle to part out. This has only a few parts that needs replacing up front. Everything else looks fine but 16k is too much for a salvage title.

yup yup... 16k asking is just way too much...especially with a bent frame? maybe 10k?
 
Amazing that the impact was big enough to do the damage it did to the frame but did not set off the airbags according to the description.

I love the reference to the low mileage - who cares if it did 5k or 50k in its current condition... and the blue book reference is funny - I dont think they have a classification which takes this kind of "wear and tear" into account..
 
That interior still looks brand new! The owner left the little CAUTION sticky on the JBL headunit too.

Too bad...a lot of people can use those spare parts!

I can see why the airbags didn't deploy if the impact occured as reported- on the front driver's side. Normally, there are at least two airbag sensors in the front bumper, and at least two have to be triggered to deploy the airbags. However, there is a dent in the front bar behind the bumper, which is almost in the center of the vehicle.

Lastly, the starred windshield is strange. The point of impact seems way to high to be from his head hitting the windshield.
 
The speed of the impact required to damage the frame would be enough to send the driver through the windshield not bump their head on it.

It could be that the vehicle was parked and stationary and was hit by something travelling at high speed - I think the airbags would not deploy if the ignition was not on.

They also didn't take the plastic off the JBL emblem on the speaker.

There is alot more then $3-5K damage on this vehicle!

That's shop prices and doing the work myself (where I can). Of course that's a very rough estimate because I can't see the detail of damage and parts that need to be replaced.

Looking at the damage again, I stand by my estimate :p. There is a TON of labor that's needed and that would bring the repair cost up to $10k or over.

That and it being a salvage title, I don't think I'd pay over $10k if I was looking for one.
