Safari bar and PIAAs

ok two things.

first i got the westin safari bar in the mail finally and i tried installing it. only problem is that i couldnt get the bolts off from behind the bumper to install this damn thing. for anyone who installed it themselves, how did you get by that? i tried everything. theyre fused on.

and second, i remember reading in another thread that a member here installed his PIAAs so they come on with the high beams. if thats you, how do i do that? or am i better off just running the switch into the cabin?

I sprayed WD40 on them and used an air wrench on the bolts.

Just us a splice connector and tap into the high beam wires just behind the bulb connector.

and which wire do i tap with. there are 2 white with red spots and a black.

If your going to working on your car in the future it is a good investment to safe your hands.

The white with the red spots. If you can't find a good ground for the aux lights you can connect that to the black.

First find yourself a little compressor. Craftman's have always worked for me.

This one works good in tight spaces.

Or get yourself a breaker bar to bust lose those bumper bolts. They're on super tight for a reason :

If you can't find a breaker bar, slip a hollow metal tube over the wrench. The longer the wrench the bigger the turning power.

i actually used an old lacrosse stick from a buddy of mine. cut it down to about 15 inches and it worked great. the lights look great and the bar is steady. thanks for all your help

,i just used a half inch socket driver and a hammer... stick it on and hit it a few times worked great.

yeah i tried that, didnt work. oh well the lax shaft did just perfect.

i just used a regular wrench and some muscle, and if u read the intructions itll tell u which wire
